Only qualified and experienced financial advisers work with clients of BGFS Associates.
Prior to anyone becoming a client of BGFS Associates a number of meetings will have taken place (see “Our Process” section), during which personal details, needs, and wants will have been discussed. The accuracy and amount of information provided to the adviser at meetings, will determine the suitability and effectiveness of any advice or recommendations made. A printed and signed copy of any recommendation, inclusive of the personal details provided for its compilation. will be provided prior to an application being submitted to the product provider. The applicant will be asked to sign a copy, thus confirming for company records the receipt of the signed copy and its contents.
We do not handle your money
Without exception all client money transactions are transferred directly between the client’s bank account and the bank account of the company to whom application has been made. No matter what the circumstances or amount BGFS Advisers are not authorised to receive cash from clients.
Confidentiality of your information
Personal details and information provided to the company will only be used for the purpose of providing suitable advice and information to the person/s providing the information, and to support the minimum requirements regarding an acceptable application to a suitable product provider. BGFS Associates does not supply client information to third parties.
BGFS Associates only uses products and services that are available via companies (Banks, Insurance and Investment Companies) which are based in the Channel Isles and the Isle of Man UK.
For people not familiar with these locations, the Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey) are situated off the coast of France in the English Channel, and have enjoyed being a British crown dependency since 1066. Many will know the Isle of Man as being the location for the annual “TT Motor Cycle event”. These days the island is becoming increasingly better known as the location where many well-known financial institutions and international fund manager groups have established their international operations.
The authorities of both the Channel Isles and the Isle of Man have installed strict rules and regulations to guarantee a high level of investor confidentiality and protection. Full details regarding the regulations that are in place can be supplied if requested
Anti Money Laundering Rules
In order to comply with strict Anti Money Laundering Rules, the source of money invested/paid into policies must be clearly identified to the company receiving it.
The following are the main requirements to support an application.
No cash payments are acceptable.
Monies transferred must be received from the bank account of the applicant, or the account of an acceptable third party.
The source (e.g. savings, disposable Income, sale of property, inheritance) of the money must be disclosed, and depending on the amount, proof may also be required. In most cases this will simply involve adding a tick where appropriate on the application.
